In addition NL4Kids also uses the lesson method ‘Taallijn’ (developed by the Dutch expertise centre and Sardes, commissioned by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science).
This method focuses on stimulation on language development for young children. It is characterized by the way language is offered to children, interaction and feedback. Part of this method is what they call the “Total physical response method”. This comes down to the rule that learning a language is always connected to doing things. Especially for children with language arrears practical assignments and language have to work together. |
